Peanut Patty - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. raw peanuts
    1 c. milk
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. white corn syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. butter
    red food coloring
Preparation
    Place peanuts, milk, sugar and syrup in heavy pan.
    Bring to boil.
    Lower heat and simmer.
    Cook until soft ball stage (approximately 1 hour).
    Remove from heat.
    Add vanilla, butter and coloring.
    Cool 15 minutes.
