Ham And Bean Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. Great Northern beans
6 c. water
1 1/2 lb. cubed, cooked ham
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dried thyme
1/2 tsp. dried parsley
4 peppercorns
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 bay leaf
2 c. water
4 potatoes, cubed
3 carrots, sliced
1 onion, chopped
1 lb. hamburger, browned and drained
2 cans chicken broth or homemade broth
2 c. water
1 c. canned tomatoes (crushed is best)
vegetables of your choice
pasta or rice (if you wish)
seasonings (you can use fresh cilantro or parsley as well as other herbs)
Preparation

Combine.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce to a simmer until vegetables are done.
Serve with French bread.
