Ingredients

1 (10 oz.) can tomato puree
1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. fresh white bread, cut in 1-inch squares
1/2 c. butter, melted
Preparation

Add sugar and salt to puree.
Boil 5 minutes.
Place bread squares in casserole.
Pour melted butter over them.
Add hot tomato mixture.
Bake, covered, for 30 minutes in medium oven.
