Potato-Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 to 6 large potatoes, sliced 1/4-inch thick
    3 medium onions, sliced 1/4-inch thick
    2 cans cream of mushroom soup
    1 stick butter
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Melt butter in casserole dish.
    Add remaining ingredients and bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
    Mushroom soup can be substituted for cream of chicken or celery.
