Hickory Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine, softened
    2 c. sugar
    4 large eggs, separated
    1 1/8 c. chopped hickory nuts
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream margarine with sugar. Add yolks of eggs. Beat until mixture is light and airy. Add flour with rest of dry ingredients. Add to first part with
    milk. Mix well. Add nuts, vanilla and lemon juice. Whip egg whites. Mix with the batter carefully. Bake in tube pan for 1 hour at 325\u00b0.
