Old-Fashion Egg Custard - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
4 egg yolks
2 egg whites
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla or lemon instead of nutmeg (if desired)
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Combine sugar, flour and salt.
Beat egg yolks and egg whites and add to dry ingredients.
Beat well.
Add milk gradually, then add melted butter.
Pour in unbaked pie shell.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes; reduce to 325\u00b0 and bake 25 to 30 minutes longer.
