Aeblekage(Danish Apple Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. zwieback crumbs
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    2 1/2 c. applesauce
    1 c. whipping cream
    2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
Preparation
    Heat butter and sugar in frying pan; add crumbs.
    Brown well, stirring occasionally.
    Put crumbs in a casserole in layers, alternating with the applesauce.
    Cool.
    Serve with whipped cream and a dab of red jelly.
