125-Year-Old Walnut Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
5 eggs
3 c. plain flour
3 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. walnut flavoring
1 c. evaporated milk
1 c. walnuts, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream butter and Crisco.
Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
Add flavoring and mix well.
Mix 1/4 cup flour with nuts.
Sift remaining flour with baking powder.
Add flour and milk to butter mixture, beginning and ending with flour.
Fold in nuts.
Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour and 20 minutes at 325\u00b0. Cool and frost.
