Baked Alaska - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 2/3 c. angel flake coconut
    1/4 c. melted butter or margarine
    1/2 gal. butter pecan ice cream, softened
    1/2 c. chocolate fudge sauce (ice cream topping)
    3 egg whites
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    6 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Heat oven to 300\u00b0.
    Mix coconut and melted butter.
    Press into bottom and up sides of a 9-inch or 10-inch pie plate.
    Bake until lightly browned, about 20 to 25 minutes.
    If edges get too dark, cover with foil crimped around edges.
    Cool shell completely.
