Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 large chopped onion
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    2 beaten eggs
    1 c. sweet milk
    1/2 tsp. soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 (No. 303) can cream-style corn
    1/2 c. bacon drippings
    1/2 lb. cheese
    1 to 4 chopped jalapeno peppers
Preparation
    Saute ground beef with onion.
    Drain and set aside.
    Mix together next 7 ingredients.
    Grease a large black skillet. Sprinkle cornmeal in skillet and let brown.
    Pour 1/2 of batter in skillet, then add meat with onion, cheese and peppers.
    Pour remaining batter on top.
    Bake 50 to 60 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
