Whole Wheat Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. raisins
1 c. shortening
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

In mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs.
Stir together whole wheat flour, baking soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon.
Add to creamed mixture.
Stir in oats, walnuts and raisins.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Cool on cookie sheets for 1 or 2 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool.
