Broiled Basil Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 small tomatoes
    1 Tbsp. olive or salad oil
    salt
    coarsely ground black pepper
    dried basil leaves
Preparation
    About 15 minutes before serving, preheat broiler if manufacturer directs.
    Cut out stem of each tomato and then cut each tomato horizontally in half.
    Place halves, cut sides up, on rack in broiling pan.
    Brush with oil.
    Sprinkle with salt, pepper and basil leaves.
    About 5 to 7 inches from source of heat, broil tomato halves until tomatoes are heated through, about 10 minutes. Makes 4 servings, about 50 calories per serving.
