Marinated Carrots - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. sliced carrots
1 small bell pepper, chopped
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. white vinegar
1 tsp. mustard (dry)
1 medium sweet onion, chopped
1 can (small) tomato sauce
1/2 c. salad oil
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
pepper to taste
Preparation

Clean and slice carrots; blanch about 10 minutes.
Drain and cool.
Layer in a bowl with onion and bell pepper.
Combine all remaining ingredients and pour over carrot mixture.
Marinate 24 hours in a covered dish in refrigerator.
Will keep one week.
