Pecan Crispies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2 1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 beaten eggs
    2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream shortening, butter and sugar. Add eggs. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Add pecans. Spoon onto a greased cookie sheet. One tablespoon of mixture makes a good size cookie. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes approximately 5 dozen.
