Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. peanuts
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish, stir together sugar and syrup. Cook 4 minutes on High setting in microwave.
    Stir in peanuts. Then cook 4 more minutes on High.
    Stir well and add vanilla and butter.
    Cook 1 minute longer on High.
    Stir.
    Add soda and quickly stir until light and foamy.
    Immediately pour onto a lightly buttered baking sheet.
    Spread out thin.
    When cool, break into pieces.
    Store in airtight container.
