Onion Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. Bermuda onions
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. shredded Cheddar or Swiss cheese
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 or 2 eggs
    pepper
    Worcestershire sauce
    Tabasco sauce
    3/4 c. sour cream
    pastry for 1 (9-inch) 2 crust pie
Preparation
    Peel and slice the onions.
    In a skillet, heat the butter and saute the sliced onions until clear and tender.
    Add salt.
    Add the cheese and heat.
    Remove the skillet from the heat and allow to cool.
    To the onions, add the flour, eggs, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and a few drops of Tabasco.
    Stir in the sour cream and heat through.
    Set aside and allow to cool slightly. Fill the pie shell with the mixture.
    Top with the remaining pastry.
    Bake in a 450\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes.
    Reduce the heat to 300\u00b0 and bake until the crust is light brown, about 30 minutes. Cool before serving.
    Serves 6.
