Chicken With Brown Gravy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large onion, minced
1 bell pepper, minced
3 ribs celery, minced
2 toes garlic, minced
1 tsp. parsley
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. thyme
1/2 c. flour
salt and pepper to taste
1 c. oil (approximately)
1 whole chicken, cut up or desired chicken pieces
water
Kitchen Bouquet
Preparation

In Dutch oven, heat oil and brown chicken real well.
Put vegetables in pot and cook until clear.
Put about 1/2 cup flour in and cook until brown.
Put enough water in the pot until desired consistency is reached (about 4 cups).
Put enough Kitchen Bouquet until rich brown color is achieved.
Add bay leaf, thyme and salt and pepper to taste.
Put chicken back in pot and cook until tender, about 1 hour.
