Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. milk
    1 egg
    1/2 c. currants
Preparation
    Sift together flour and baking powder.
    Add sugar and rub in butter lightly.
    Beat egg and add 3/4 of it to dry ingredients. Add milk to make a fairly soft dough.
    Roll out and cut into triangles.
    Place on greased baking sheet.
    Brush over with remaining egg.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
