Peanut Butter Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. evaporated milk
    2/3 c. peanut butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In saucepan, combine sugar, syrup, salt, milk and 3/4 cup water.
    Bring to boil; cover and cook for 2 minutes.
    Uncover and cook, without stirring, until a little of the mixture forms a soft ball.
    Remove from heat.
    Cool to lukewarm.
    Add peanut butter and vanilla.
    Beat until mixture thickens and loses its gloss.
    Pour into a buttered 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
