Taco Casserole - cooking recipe

2 (10 pack) taco shells or 1 bag tortilla chips
1 pt. sour cream
3/4 lb. shredded Cheddar cheese
2 lb. ground beef
1 to 2 pkg. taco seasoning
6 slices American cheese
Preparation

Crumble first package of taco shells (or 1/2 bag of tortilla chips) and spread in bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan.
Brown ground beef with taco seasoning and spread over top shell layer.
Next, sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese over meat.
Spread sour cream over Cheddar cheese.
Next, place the 6 slices of American cheese. Top with remaining crushed shells or chips.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
