Ingredients

3/4 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
1 Tbsp. vanilla
2 eggs, slightly beaten
3 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
3 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In a large bowl, combine sugars, butter and cream with sugar.
Add vanilla and eggs, mix together.
In a separate bowl, sift the dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Mix well. The dough should be stiff.
Add chocolate chips and nuts.
Line cookie sheets with baking parchment or wax paper. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
Remove from oven and cool on wire racks. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
