Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. cabbage, chopped
    1 qt. green tomatoes, chopped
    1 qt. onions, chopped
    hot peppers, chopped (hot as you want)
    1 qt. vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Mix vegetables and 1/2 cup salt.
    Let stand overnight.
    Next day drain.
    Heat vinegar, sugar and spices and simmer 10 minutes. Add to vegetables.
    Cook approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
    Chow will change to a dull green color.
    Pack and seal.
