Mardi Gras Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. butterscotch morsels
1/4 c. water
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. butter or oleo
1 1/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Melt together butterscotch morsels and water.
Cool.
Cream butter, sugar and eggs.
Add butterscotch mixture.
Sift dry ingredients.
Add alternately with buttermilk.
Blend well. Divide into two 9-inch pans.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 375\u00b0.
Turn onto cake rack.
