Granny'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 2/3 c. sugar
    2 c. Crisco or 2 sticks butter plus 1 c. Crisco
    7 large eggs
    1/2 c. milk
    3 1/2 c. plain sifted flour
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix butter and sugar.
    Add 1
    egg
    at
    a time with flour and milk until all the eggs,
    milk
    and
    flour
    are
    gone.
    Add vanilla.
    Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
    Bake
    in a greased and floured tube pan for about 1 hour
    and
    20
    minutes
    or until done.
    To make chocolate pound cake, add two heaping tablespoons of cocoa to flour.
