Creole Style Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion (white, red or yellow)
    1 large green bell pepper
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1 tsp. gumbo file
    1/2 dried bay leaf
    dash of Tabasco
    2 (6 1/2 oz.) cans crab meat
    2 (6 1/2 oz.) cans minced clams
    2 lb. frozen or canned shrimp
    1 (10 oz. size) pkg. frozen okra
    1 (No. 2 1/2 size) can tomatoes with juice
    2 c. milk, tomato juice or sauce
    1 c. hot water
Preparation
    Add seafoods and okra to the mixture last.
    They require a short time for cooking.
