Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
4 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. soda
1 Tbsp. vanilla
grated rind 1 lemon (optional)
Preparation

Cream sugar and Crisco, beat in eggs, adding vanilla.
In separate bowl, mix soda and flour.
Add to sugar mixture alternating with the buttermilk, beat until fluffy.
Stir in lemon peel if desired.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour in greased and floured Bundt pan.
