Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. sweet basil
    1 Tbsp. dried parsley
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
    1 lg. onion
    3 lg. cans crushed tomatoes
    4 small (or 2 large) cans tomato paste
    1 pkg. hot italian sausage (optional)
    1/4 c. oil
Preparation
    Combine tomatoes, salt, black pepper, crushed red pepper, dried parsley, sweet basil, onion, and green pepper and simmer for 1 hour.
    In a small kettle, mix tomato paste and oil.
    Simmer until oil is absorbed and then add to the sauce mixture.
    Also add cooked sausage at this time and continue to simmer for about 2 1/2 - 3 hours on the stove top or approximately 5 hours or more in a crock pot.
