Icebox Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. milk
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
3 pkg.yeast
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
5 to 6 c. flour
Preparation

Heat milk, shortening and sugar to lukewarm; dissolve yeast in water.
Add to cooled milk mixture.
Add baking powder, salt, soda and flour.
Add enough additional flour to make stiff dough.
Let rise to double; knead and add flour if needed.
Shape into rolls. Put in lightly greased muffin tins; let rise again.
Bake at 325\u00b0 until golden brown.
Brush rolls with melted butter while hot.
