Date-Nut Pinwheels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. soft butter
    1/2 c. light brown sugar, packed
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cream butter; add sugar, vanilla and egg; beat until light. Add sifted dry ingredients and mix well.
    Chill until firm enough to roll.
    Half dough; roll each half on floured waxed paper into 12 x 9-inches.
    Spread with filling; roll tightly from end.
    Wrap in paper; chill overnight.
    Slice 1/8-inch thick.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for approximately 10 minutes.
