Ingredients

4 large eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 2/3 c. milk
1/2 c. coconut
Preparation

Beat eggs, sugar, salt, nutmeg and vanilla until well blended. Add milk, then let stand until all foam disappears.
Then pour into deep 9-inch pastry lined pan.
Sprinkle with coconut and a little more nutmeg.
Bake at 400\u00b0 until it starts to brown, about 20 minutes, then lower heat to 350\u00b0 and bake until custard is set. Time approximately 1 hour.
Don't overbake custard.
