Picante Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 qt. diced ripe tomatoes
2 c. chopped jalapeno peppers
1/2 c. vinegar
2 tsp. garlic powder
3 (10 oz.) cans tomato puree
6 c. chopped onions
2 c. chopped bell peppers
1/4 c. sugar or 1 tsp. sweetener
5 large cloves garlic, minced
2 1/2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation

Bring all to a boil.
Lower fire and simmer slowly, covered, about 20 minutes.
Use big pot.
Stir very often.
Pour into hot jars.
Makes 12 to 14 pints.
Water bath 10 minutes if you plan to keep it more than 4 months.
