Sauerkraut - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 qt. sauerkraut
1 potato, pared and grated
1 tsp. caraway seed
2 c. boiling water
Preparation

Melt butter in a heavy saucepan. Add onion and cook until golden yellow. Stir in sauerkraut and cook for 8 minutes.
Mix in potato and caraway seed.
Pour in the boiling water.
Cook, uncovered, over low heat 30 minutes. Cover and continue cooking 30 minutes longer.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
