Ingredients

2 eggs
1 1/4 c. milk
6 Tbsp. melted shortening or salad oil
1 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Beat eggs, milk and shortening in small bowl at medium speed until blended, about 30 seconds.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and add to first mixture.
Beat and blend about 1 minute.
Preheat waffle iron at high.
Using about 7/8 cup of batter per waffle, bake 5 to 6 minutes.
