Stephanie'S Pickled Peaches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. peaches
    3 lb. sugar
    1 scant qt. vinegar
    2 sticks cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. whole cloves
Preparation
    Peel peaches.
    Combine sugar, vinegar and spices.
    Cook until mixture boils well.
    Add fruit and cook until tender.
    Put peaches in sterilized jars.
    Fill with hot syrup.
