Babs' Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of cayenne
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    3/4 tsp. ground pepper
    4 c. thinly sliced potatoes
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Blend in flour.
    Cook and stir in milk slowly. Add salt and cayenne.
    Cook sauce until smooth and boiling.
    Reduce heat.
    Add cheese.
    Stir until melted.
    Add pepper.
    Grease baking dish.
    Alternate layers of potatoes and sauce in baking dish.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender.
