Sour Cream Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    2 c. sifted regular all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. dairy sour cream
    1 c. mashed bananas (2 medium size)
Preparation
    In a mixing bowl, cream butter or margarine; gradually add sugar.
    Beat until light and fluffy.
    Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla.
    Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
    Add bananas and nuts, mixing just until blended.
    Pour into pan.
    Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven 40 to 45 minutes.
    Cool on wire rack and frost with a caramel frosting or sift confectioners sugar over cooled cake.
