Venison Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    cooking oil
    2 lb. ground venison or 1 lb. venison and 1 lb. lean ground chuck
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1 (16 oz.) can or more tomatoes (undrained)
    1 c. water
    3/4 c. red wine
    2 or 3 diced green chilies
    2 or 3 cloves garlic, chopped
    3 or more Tbsp. chili powder
    3/4 tsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. cumin
Preparation
    Cook venison and onions over medium heat in a little oil in a large pot until brown, stirring frequently.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Reduce heat; simmer at least 1 hour.
    Stir occasionally.
