Carolina Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 sticks Mrs. Filbert margarine
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 1/4 c. plain flour or cake flour
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. almond or lemon flavoring
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream shortening.
Add sugar gradually.
Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Add flour alternately with milk.
Add flavorings.
Bake in a 10-inch tube pan, well-greased and floured, at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 25 minutes.
Ice, if desired.
