Chewies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter or margarine
    1 lb. brown sugar
    4 eggs
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Melt butter or margarine.
    Add brown sugar.
    Melt (do not boil).
    Remove from heat.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Mix well after each addition.
    Add flour and stir in well (may use mixer).
    Then add vanilla and nuts.
    Pour in 9 x 13-inch greased pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
