Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    lettuce, torn in bite sizes
    1 c. green peas, drained
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 onion, chopped
    1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
    4 boiled eggs, sliced
    mayonnaise
Preparation
    Layer in order above.
    Refrigerate for three to four hours. Add bacon bits just before serving.
