Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. chopped dates
1 (16 oz.) pkg. orange slice candy
1 c. candied cherries
3 c. self-rising flour
1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. oleo
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Heat oven to 325\u00b0.
Beat oleo until fluffy in a large bowl; gradually beat the sugar.
Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each; then add buttermilk and beat.
Add flour slowly, mixing well.
Stir in vanilla, walnuts, dates and candy; mix well, using your hands to mix (if you want).
