Banana Nut Bread(Shared By Connie Reimold) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 to 1 3/4 c. mashed bananas (no more)
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs.
    Add soda to buttermilk. Mix well.
    Combine with creamed mixture.
    Beat in flour and salt. Add bananas; blend thoroughly.
    Fold in nuts.
    Pour into well-greased and floured 5 x 9-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes on bottom rack or until done.
    Can spread with butter; cream cheese frosting.
