Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    1 c. clear Karo syrup
    1 c. water
    peanuts
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. heaping baking soda
Preparation
    Cook first 3 ingredients to 240\u00b0.
    Put in peanuts and cook to 300\u00b0.
    Add in this order:
    salt, vanilla, butter and baking soda. Stir quickly and pour 1/2 into one cookie sheet and the other 1/2 on the other cookie sheet.
    Make sure the cookie sheets are buttered real good.
