Savory Crescent Chicken Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 oz. pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
    2 Tbsp. melted margarine
    2 c. cooked, cubed chicken
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 tsp. chopped chives or onion
    1 Tbsp. pimento
    1 (8 oz.) can Pillsbury refrigerator quick crescent rolls
Preparation
    Blend cheese and margarine until smooth; add chicken, salt, pepper, milk, chives or onion and pimento; mix well.
    Separate crescent rolls into 4 rectangles; seal perforations with your fingers.
    Spoon 1/2 cup chicken mixture onto center of each rectangle.
    Pull four corners of dough to center of mixture and seal.
    Brush top with melted margarine; dip in 3/4 cup crushed, seasoned croutons (can use bread crumbs.)
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 20 to 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
