Call It Whatever You Please! - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 peck green tomatoes
8 onions
1 c. salt
vinegar
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 level Tbsp. each cloves, cinnamon and allspice
Preparation

Slice the tomatoes and onions and put in layers.
Sprinkle on the salt and let remain overnight. Rinse well. Chop fine.
Put in kettle and cover with vinegar.
Add the sugar, cloves, cinnamon and allspice.
Stew slowly for about 1 hour.
Bottle while hot.
