Ingredients

1/2 c. rye flour
1/2 c. whole wheat flour
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. stone-ground cornmeal
1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3 large eggs
1 1/4 to 1 1/2 c. milk
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation

Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
Beat in eggs, 1 1/4 cups milk and butter just until well mixed.
Do not try to get batter completely smooth.
Let batter stand for 20 to 30 minutes.
