Old Fashioned Potato Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 yeast cake
1/2 c. lukewarm water
1 c. hot mashed potatoes
2/3 c. lard or shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 full tsp. salt
2 whole eggs
1 c. milk (lukewarm)
6 c. flour (approximately)
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Put hot mashed potatoes in a roomy bowl.
Add lard or shortening, sugar, salt and mix well. Add eggs, beat well.
Add yeast and milk.
Stir in the flour to make a soft dough.
Place in a greased bowl.
Turn over once to cover top with fat.
Cover.
Set in a warm place and allow to rise until double in bulk.
