Stack Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
1 tsp. soda
3 eggs
1 c. milk
4 c. flour
1 tsp. each: salt, nutmeg, allspice and cinnamon
1 can apple pie filling or spicy applesauce

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add molasses.
Mix well; add eggs and mix again.
Add milk.
Combine ingredients; mix well.
Pour batter into six 8-inch well-greased cake pans.
Bake for 20 minutes at 375\u00b0.
Cool completely.
Spread filling between layers and on top.
Serve with whipped cream.
