Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 gal. unpared cucumbers, sliced
6 small, white onions
2 green peppers, shredded
1/2 c. salt or little less (I use the kosher salt for pickles)
3 whole garlic cloves
Preparation

Mix salt with vegetables and bury 1-quart cracked ice in mixture.
Cover and let stand 3 hours; drain thoroughly.
Remove garlic cloves.
