Hash Brown Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped onions (optional)
    2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. margarine, melted
    2 c. (16 oz.) sour cream
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of chicken or cream of potato soup
    2 c. crushed cornflakes
    1/4 c. margarine, melted
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except cornflakes and 1/4 cup butter. Pour into a well buttered 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Toss crushed cornflakes and margarine together and sprinkle over potatoes. This freezes well and is very good!
